    • now Transitlink staff also hire PRC?

i went down to terminate the Giro-link on my NS ezlink card and activate my Tertiary ezlink card.

      what would happen is...

      1. terminate giro-link on NS ezlink card
      2. activate my tertiary concession card for a fee.

      what she did was...

      1. terminate giro-link on NS ezlink card
      2. well, that's all.

she said i should go online at www.ezlink.com.sg for my tertiary concession card. straightaway, i know she doesnt understand what i want and the security glass with only 15 holes for us to speak across is not helping.

      so i went home. icon_lol.gif

    • write in to FEEDBACK (me neber say comprain wor~!) about the staff's proficiency in English
singapore is a multi-racial country, we have a portion of the population who do not understand chinese
if they want to be cheapo, pls QC the hiring process
the staff must be able to speak and understand english... but tts not enough... must understand singapore's english, which we proudly believe, is unique....
as a customer service provider, this is intolerable
      commuters' time is precious...

if the feedback letter ends up with another china chinese staff, we relli is hong gan liao.

took the train back. now my ezlink no $, no giro-link. great!

my friends said my letter really got the message across for the "normal singaporean and the ageing population".

now we shall wait for their reply.

    • great. so i went to the ticket office at tampines int and it was a chinese lady. let's call her lady for now. soon, we can just call her woman.

me : hi. i want to terminate my NS ezlink card and activate my tertiary ezlink card.

-puts my NS ezlink card on her reader-

lady : still can use till two jilo jilo nine leh! use lah! and some more got 14 cents inside leh!

me : yes. i want to terminate that and activate my other one.

lady : keep lah. keep as souvenir lah.

me : no. i want to terminate it and activate this one! i need to start using this one!

-hastily returns the $3 refundable deposit for my NS ezlink card + $0.15 remaining stored value-

woman(notice change in salutation, but still the same person) : den your $3 activation fee leh. den must top up $10 what.

-i hand her the $13. she does her work and issues me the receipts-

what's up with the transitlink staff?? is it so important for people to keep their unused ezlink cards(as a souvenir?? NS so fun one meh) just so that they have the $3 refundable deposits in their hands?

and mind you, their security glass has to go. i cant hear what she was saying with all the construction work going on at the 3/31/67 boarding berths.

    • I just came back from KL. Travel on most of their railway network and speak to most of the staffs manning the ticket booth. I would rate KL a 9/10 and SG 4/10.
