one jap/kor with his ‘gal’ from eminent plaza to jur east… i accelerate a bit only he say wow very powerful car… throughout the journey he see me cut lane and overtake…effortlessly but safely of course… end of destination about $11.5… he paid me $20 no need change… very good driving…haha
male ang moh – merchant to orchard hotel… at destination he say fast and good…hmm
chinese male – got in and put seat beat… say sonata every cabby also very fast one…
3 other times – retired cabbies… one say should have auto long ago…. one say very powerful and quiet… that time me havent tried crown so i told him so so… he seems surprised…
but not everyone likes speed… one 50+ chinese woman… st james to bedok… got in and say please dont speed…she scared… so i obediently go at say 90km/h at ECP… sonata at 90km/h feels like 70km/h in normal car… at destinate she say thank you for driving the way you did…

but my best cab ride is actually on a skoda octavia. better than a merz, i dare say.
Totally agreed with redDUST that skoda is still the best.

I take cab quite regular, at least twice a day, been doing that seen june last year. Taken all kind of taxis and Skoda is still my fav.
Wobble alot? that ang mo must be drunk or he doesn't enjoy life.

Sonata…the only disadvantage is too many blind spots around. Overtaking the Right Hand Side Mirror never help much. Reversing without the back sensor really hardtime to do it because the back too huge.
The good is this Sonata never sound like a diesel engine driven machine…compare to Toyota Crown. So quiet and silent when on board.

which is why i see many sonatas the right hand side mirror has an extra mirror above it & my question is, is it the cabbies fixed themselves or did CDG do it..

CDG do it? TKK then have lah. fix ourselves. the one from korea costs $16 while the one from china costs $13. (tat's $32 if u fixed both sides) but this blind spot mirror very very useful. now don't even need to turn my head to check, one glance is all it takes. even toyota crowns oso fixed and i saw a few private cars with the blind spot mirror too. but it does spoil the aesthetics.

yo Kelvin, i still cant adjust to the blind spot mirror… my vision gets blur when i see the normal side mirror then bind spot mirror… if you know what i mean…
so i still do the ah pek way… check blind spot…
but 2 times after i checked blind spot, i still fail to notice a car at my side when i switched lane… dangerous man…
since then i will make sure i turned quickly until i can almost the pax behind me… haha…
actually the best solution for sonata is to change to bigger side mirrors…. dun know why install such a small mirror
