    • so... the guy who learnt how to act at the Steven Segal "man of a thousand faces everyone the same" school of acting has ripped off a comedy and a comic to come up with this? Laughing

looks like a basketball version of Shaolin Soccer...

and by trying to take itself seriously, it's going to be silly and funny where it's not supposed to be...

and with that sulky fella who ruined Jet Li's movie with his insipid music video..

it's going to be a big hit..

but i think watching it would be like swallowing broken glass after a tonsillectomy Laughing

    • Saw the unedited trailer.

The front part about Jay tying a chain to the bus is almost a complete lift-off from a Nike advertisement some years back.

The difference in the Nike advert is that the chain was tied to a belly ring on a female jogger, as oppose to tied round Jay's waist in the trailer.

    • This project was originally conceived as the movie version of popular Japanese manga SlamDunk! and that's not something new to Jay Chou, who made his movie debut playing a character from another wildly popular manga Initial D. Along the way, it was decided to incorporate some kung fu into the movie, so hence the title, even if the idea wasn't very original, with Stephen Chow's Shaolin Soccer coming to mind with martial arts and ball games combined.

But then the only similarity of this show and SlamDunk is that both involve basketball.

    • caught the show... entertaining imo... worth the weekday ticket... feels the show can do without the masters fighting in the middle of the show... they can show more matches there... or even finish the tournament...
