    • I guess “QX5216J” might have the pics but fyi not all “lastest alphas” have the keep clear reflective signs at the back

    • But from what i know, the 'Newest & Lastest' Ambulances are with "Emergency Ambulance" at front engine cover and "Keep Clear" at back doors rite?? Question The batch before this had only Ambulance on engine cover??

      correct.
      its easy to spot the new and old alpha.

      NEW Alpha:
      1) Front: Ememrgency Ambulance
      2) Registration Numbers QX***X (3 digits only)
      3) "Keep clear" reflective sticker at the back

      "Old" Alpha:
      1) Front: Ambulance
      2) Reg no. : (eg. QX5216J) 4 digits
      3) no keep clear thingy, just red & white reflective sticker..

      Older ones:
      QX44**X-49**x series

      QX44**-45** series
      1) Front: Ambulance
      2) Side: 2 (R&W) blinkers
      3) Rear: 2 Round blinkers / Square blinkers
      4) Leaky a/c!

      QX49**x series
      1) Front: Ambulance
      2) Side 2x R&W Blinkers
      3) rear: 2 trapezium shaped blinkers

      One of my station's alphas & sry if the pic is not very well taken...its A222 bearing the plate no. QX4950D & its always based at Chai Chee Fire Post for every duty

      Sighted QX4950D last tues.
      was having PE then i saw A222 entered my school (Damai Sec).
      not sure what happened, saw a sec 2 girl on the Alpha thats all..
      Anyone know what happen?

      Hmm, can't exactly let you know what happened coz I was on night duty last tues but I guess must be a case of either fainting, fall or breathless Rolling Eyes

      that junior looked awake...so minus the first one..
      and they're playing floorball.
      so its either.. tio whack, fall or breathless. (didnt know girls are that VIOLENT!)

      the PE teacher was so crap la.
      when he called me to assist in First Aid, the alpha already came.

      If its floorball then most likely chance is fall & fractured either the upper/lower limbs...ever attended to a similar case at ITE Tampines which also involved floorball

    • QX4562R (A212) broke down along New Upper Changi Road 0740hrs today on the way to Changi General Hospital (Hotel 5). QX4950D (A222) was engaged to take over the case from A212. Cause of breakdown unknown (? Tyres) & recovery truck was spotted 0820hrs

      Nope, luckily it was not a standby case but a case of man very sick & our alpha (A222) was despatch to take over the case...

    • Wah....the higher ranks in SCDF really knows how to deploy their stuff huh?? Took a 'Nicer looking' ambulance from main fleet to do excerise Wink Why Question Cus got minister and other Vip at the excerise watching SCDF.... Very Happy

      From the news article that I've provided earlier, well guess they deployed better looking appliances becoz got some VIPs there during the exercise...

      they got a newer alpha, QX107, if not wrong. but wasnt deployed.
      QX5212U is always wondering ard, dont know why. seen it a few times at Central FS.

      and yes, most of the FS got their new Scania P360 PL as their DO Pump.
      and i think, station 22 did not receive a new PL.

      Arrmmm....Changi FS has got the all new Scania version PL also. PL221. reg no: YM6124Y

      that the QX40xx series.

      QX44-49series is MB Sprinter 413CDi, where as MB Sprinter 416 CDi is the QX52-53 and QX10 series.

    • QX5212U of A221 (Stn 22) was temp changed to QX4493G due to ?faulty battery since 12/10/2007 (Friday)...went for my 1st day duty call in QX4493G today & it was really not a good working environment to be in Evil or Very Mad
